Reagan has been keeping me so busy that I haven't had time to blog! No complaints though, I love being with my girl. Motherhood has been great. Reagan is so fun to be with. She is beginning to coo a lot and its just the cutest thing! Its funny hearing her make cute little noises.

So we had Reagan's baby blessing just a few Sundays ago. Here are some pictures from that day.

After the blessing, we had the family and some friends over for brunch. It was really nice having everyone over. Reagan and mommyLast Sunday was my very first Mothers Day! Let me tell you, I am one proud momma. I love this picture; four generations of Teagues. And I'm sportin' my beautiful Mothers Day gift from Seth. Love my pearls!

Reagan Elise

Our little angel finally arrived. Reagan Elise Teague was born March 22, 2010 at 3:51pm, 7lbs. even and 19 inches long. We had to stay in the hospital for a couple of days which was a bummer. Reagan was being monitored in NICU for a fever and a possible infection. I had a fever too so we were both on antibiotics. Nothing ever became of it so our little princess was able to come home the same time I was discharged. It has been so fun having her around. Reagan is so sweet and has been so good for me. Nights aren't too bad but definitely took a lot to get use to. It is such an amazing feeling being a mother. I love it! And love my little girl!

Blankets and Bows

It seems as though many of my friends are pregnant right now. Its kind of fun having other friends pregnant at the same time, that way we get to share all our fun pregnancy stories. And those who are on their second or third has a lot of great advice to share with people like me who are first timers. So I've been busy making fun little blankets for my friends. I have been into Owls lately and love the way this one came out! I gave this one to my sister-in-law who is having her second child and its a boy! I'm so excited for her and can't wait to see her baby boy!

I made this fun little car one for a friend of mine that is due the first week of April. She's having a little boy too! I think its the season for boys!

These were fun little burp rags I made too. They were pretty fun and easy to make! The purple fabric with elephants is my favorite.

I made this little bow/clip hanger for Reagan's room with the cricut. And of course, I needed to make some hair bows to go on it.

Now that I am off work, I can finally catch up on my blogging. It has been too long! I've been pretty bad at taking belly pictures too. I wish I had been better at it so that I can look back at them later, but I at least I have a few.

Some Fun

I've been having so much fun with my new sewing machine and Cricut. It has been keeping me kind of busy. I use to always sew when I was younger, with my mom's machine, but for some reason I stopped. Since I didn't have a machine of my own, I totally forgot how fun it is. I've been wanting one of my own for a while and when I got it for Christmas I was so excited! I made Reagan's first baby blanket and I think it came out pretty decent. Definitely some errors but it works. lol. I've also been using the Cricut a lot too. I pretty much cut everything in sight. haha. That machine is amazing. It cuts so many things, its great. I was on a vinyl kick for a bit. Its just so fun to make things with. My next project is to start using it to cut fabric. Ooh can't wait! Here are some pictures of what I've made so far.

Here's the blanket I made for Reagan. I started working on Reagan's room too. Not much, just putting up a few things like this vinyl lettering phrase and her name which I made with the Cricut too. I still have a lot of things to do for her room, but all in time! I also got her crib set up. It makes me even more excited for her arrival. I love these wall decals. The cricut cuts so precise, its amazing!I was able to make these tiles for my mom and Seth's mom for Christmas. Talk about an inexpensive gift!

Holidays

It has been a while since I last posted something. I realized I didn't post anything from Christmas yet. I told myself I needed to keep up with my blog. Since I had 2 weeks off for Christmas break, I wanted to make sure I had time to blog, but yeah that obviously didn't happen. So, I'm trying to catch up with whats been happening. Christmas was good this year. We decided to have Christmas Eve at our place since it was the first time for us in a house. We invited both of our families to come. We opened presents with my family Christmas Eve and then with Seth's family Christmas day. Christmas came and went so fast, its unbelievable. It was so nice to spend it with people we love and care about. Theres nothing better then family, food and lots of laughs. Here are some pictures from the Holidays.

We usually try to go to the mountains at least once every winter. This time we went a little before Christmas with our friends Brenda and Joe. We woke up one day and thought hey it would be fun to drive up to the snow today. It was definitely one of those spur of the moment things. We didn't really bring anything with us like sleds or inner tubes so the guys improvised. There wasn't a whole lot of snow but we still had a great time.

We also visited my good friend Twyla over the break. She just had a brand new addition to the family. Twyla's sister, Crystal, just had an adorable baby boy right before Christmas. What a beautiful gift!

27 weeks

Okay, so I finally took some prego pictures. Here they are! I am 27 weeks and 6 days pregnant. I feel like I blew up in just the past few weeks. It has flown by so fast. Before we know it, little Reagan will be here. We're so excited! She has been moving a lot lately. And her movements are very hard compared to what it was before. It is so neat to know that our little girl will be here in about 3 months!

Ready for the Holidays

This past week has been so nice being off work. I was able to relax, get things done around the house and get ready for the holidays. Thanksgiving was a little low key this year. We did the usual, went to Seth's parents house for our first Thanksgiving dinner then off to my parents house for the second dinner. Everything was delish!

We got up early Black Friday to hit up the sales! I didn' think there were that many killer deals this year, so we mapped out where we wanted to go and knew exactly what we wanted. The greatest deal we got this year though (I think anyway) is my present! I got the Cricut Expression for $180 which is originally priced at $350. I am sooooo excited! I have been messing around with it all weekend and have gone cut crazy! I've been cutting everything! lol. I've even made birthday cards already. I can't wait to make vinyl signs with it for our baby's room. Seth also got some tools at a great deal and we got some of our Christmas shopping done.

I was also able to get some Holiday decorations up. I was able to finish my wreath, which cost me only $6 and yes, thats including the wreath! I was so proud of myself for making a pretty decent wreath for such a great price. We also had a chance to put up the Christmas tree, decorated and all. I even wrapped a few presents! I'm excited to get some of this done sooner because we have always been the last minute shoppers. So it feels real good to have some gifts out of the way.

We also celebrated Seth's mom's birthday as well this weekend. We had a nice dinner followed by cake and ice cream. Mmmm.... It has been so nice being off work all week. Hanging out at home and family has been so great. Now its back to reality. But the up side is in about 3 weeks, its Christmas vacation where I am off for 2 weeks! Man, already counting down the days. Can't wait till Christmas!

Family Time

Isabelle's birthday was this last week and to celebrate she wanted to have a skate party. It was fun to go and watch the kids have fun skating. They all had a good time eating pizza and cake. Cynthia and Kailani was able to come visit last week too. It was really nice getting to see them both. They were able to come to Isabelle's birthday party. We figured since we are both pregnant, that it may not be a good idea to go skating with a bunch of little kids on the rink. So we were great chaperons instead. Seth on the other hand was a great uncle and went skating with the girls. He even helped a few girls who didn't know how to skate. It was really cute!

We weren't able to see Kailani and Cynthia the whole time they were here, but we did get to see them twice and they were able to stay the night one night. We hardly ever see her, so it took some time for her to warm up to us. And of course, as soon as she does, it was time for her to go home. We wish we lived closer so that she can get to know us better.

Grandpa Bill's birthday was a few weeks back but everyone was either sick or our schedules conflicted so we celebrated his birthday yesterday. He just turned 92! Can you believe it? He is quite healthy and active for 92. Here he is in his party hat and birthday tie. This guy cracks me up! I didn't have my camera so this was taken with my phone thats why its so blurry. We're so grateful to have Grandpa in our lives. He is such a blessing to all of us and his family.

Halloween

Halloween this year came so fast! I guess with us being busy with the move and all, it really snuck up on us. We moved into our new place about a week before Halloween so I didn't have much time to decorate. But I was able to get some decorations up 2 days before Halloween. Lol. Better then nothing right? We had a good Halloween this year with parties, friends, pumpkin carving of course, roasted pumpkin seeds (my favorite) and trick-or-treating with our niece and nephew in our new neighborhood. I was really surprised at how much good candy they got. Not very many houses were passing out candy, but the ones that did hooked those kids up! Can't wait till next year when our little girl is here so that we can dress her up for Halloween! So exciting! This was the entrance to our house. Seth was able to put it up the day before Halloween. We had a fog machine going to make it look eerie.

GIRL! It's official, we are having a little baby girl! We have been waiting for this it seems like forever! Now that we know the gender of our little one, it makes this experience that much more real! Now the name debate begins.....

Here is a profile shot of her. If you can tell, she is laying on her back with her little head on the left side. You can see her little ear and her eyes. It looks a little creepy but that's okay. This is so fun! We are so happy and excited for her arrival (Even though I have a while till then!)

First Cake (that I like)

I've been wanting to take a cake decorating class for awhile, so my buddy Em paid for me to take a class with her for my birthday! I've already had 3 classes and made one other cake. The first cake was a disaster! I was in such a rush (really, driving in from San Diego) and I had to quickly frost my cake which came out totally wrong and I was over a half hour late to class. So I didn't even take a picture of that one, it was so bad. This is a picture of my second cake I did tonight. I didn't have time at class to finish it so I came home tonight and finished it up! I'm so happy this one came out a little better then the disaster cake I made previously. Now I wonder if it tastes okay. lol. I'm still learning and it has been quite fun thus far!

The kick off of all holidays! I love, love, love this time of year! Not only because Halloween is so fun, but it's the start of great holidays to follow. It has been so hot here lately and today was a fantastic day. It was a lot cooler than it has been in a while. And cooler days mean its getting closer to Halloween! When I am out and about, I love to see all the holiday decor and spirit everyone has. It just makes me so happy! I'm looking forward to Halloween this year. We will be moved in to our new place- a house! Yes! And I have already gotten all sorts of cute Halloween decorations. Now I'm debating whether or not to decorate our place now or wait till we move and decorate the house. Something to think about. Smells like Halloween!!!!

Baseball Fun

Friday night we went to the Angels game for some good baseball fun. Its always fun going to a home game on a Friday night because its always big bang Fridays. We got to enjoy the awesome fireworks show at the end, even though the Angels lost. Here we are sporting our new Angels military hats! It was also a promo night and everyone in attendance got one of these sweet hats for free! Gotta love free stuff!
After the game, we went over to where the players come out. We saw this guy signing autographs but I couldn't recognize him. Seth of course said right off the bat, that's Nomar Garciaparra (He plays for the Athletics)! I didn't believe him at first but sure enough, it really was! Here is a blurry side profile of Nomar. lol.

Also, just walking around with the fans was Angels announcer Billy Mac! It was kinda cool watching him walk around and chatting with fans. Here we are with Billy Mac!

The Girls Came to Cali!

Cynthia and Kailani came to California on the spur of the moment. I got a text last Friday from Cynthia that said, "Hey I'm in California". If you know us, we tend to mess with each other a lot so I totally thought she was lying. But she really was here! They were only here for a few days and was staying at her sisters in Hemet. We got to hang out a few days though which was great. They were able to join us for a BBQ Saturday and I got to see them last night before they left. We went out to Red Robins and had some DQ afterwards. It was so great getting to see these two girls again. Miss them already!

Family and Fun

Seth's brother Casey and his wife Nicole came from Logan Utah to visit this past week. It was so nice having them here and being able to spend time with them. They came at a perfect time too. Seth was off from school and I was able to take some time off of work. We had a good time hanging out, chatting and playing games. For two of the days they were here, we went down to San Diego to stay with grandma and grandpa at their condo. We hung out at the beach and at the pool most of the first day. The second day, we went to the San Diego Temple. It is our (mine and Seth's) favorite temple! We were married there over a year and a half ago so it was so cool to be there again. It sure did bring back all those emotions from our special day. For some reason I didn't take a lot of pictures, which is kind of surprising. lol. But I was able to get a few!

We also visited Grandpa Chuck's grave at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery. The cemetery is on a hill and has an awesome view of the ocean. I wish I had snapped a picture. We were able to see downtown San Diego and all the ships and boats in the harbor.

For the last day of Casey and Nicole's trip, we went over to mom and dad's house for swimming and a BBQ. We had such a nice time eating, swimming and laughing. We had a fire in the fire pit later in the evening. We all sat around the fire and told stores and played games. And you can't have a fire without some delicious smores! Yum! It was so nice having them over. We miss them already and can't wait to see them again.

Labor Day Relaxation

For the Labor Day holiday, we went down to Pacific Beach and stayed with Seth's grandparents at their condo. It was so nice! The weather was absolutely perfect and the beach wasn't too crowded. We had such a nice time relaxing at the beach, at the pool and in the condo watching the waves crash onto shore from the balcony. Here are the kids (and Seth) having a fun time in the pool.It was pretty low tide, so they all looked like they were way out there. We had a good time hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa. We played many rounds of Skip-Bo and ate at their favorite restaurant Phillipi's. It was such a relaxing time, it was hard coming back home!

24 Years Old

Yesterday was my 24th birthday. I don't think I'll ever forget it. Why do you ask? Well that's because I spent the most of my time hugging the porcelain king and laying in bed. I was sick all day long, it was so sad! What a way to celebrate a birthday right? lol. Seth was so good to me though, which made it a good day. Seth got me a sweet card, beautiful flowers and a really fun gift! Well, Seth and a few family members that is, got me an awesome ipod Touch! I love it! It is so fun and cool! I've been attached to it ever since I got it! We had plans to go out to dinner but that was postponed to another day, a puke-free day that is.

I also got my fav make-up for my birthday, Bare Escentuals! And of course, I got lots of free samples which is always great! So tonight I was feeling a lot better so we went to Outback for some steak! We had a good time, good food with great friends. Thanks guys for everything!

Fun Week

This past week, Dana, Cynthia and Kailani came to visit from Utah. It was so fun having them here all week. Although I had work, and Seth had school we still were able to make some time to hang out with them. It was so good to see them again and be around our super cute niece Kailani. She is such a crack up! We love her to death!

We started out the week with Kailani's baby blessing at church. Here's the family, or some of us anyway.

Of course, we had to go to an Angels game! The Angels won and scored 10 runs which means free hot wings at Claim Jumper! So we headed on over after the game and got ourselves our free hot wings. They were delish! One of our favorite things to do is to go bowling. Another one of my favorite things to do is to get a deal! So I found out about this place called ABC Bowling in Moreno Valley a couple of years ago. They have this awesome deal during the summer where all games are a dollar! Isn't that great! Bowling is so expensive these days that we hardly ever go, but when summer comes around, we totally take advantage of this awesome deal. We played two games and rented all our shoes for only 8 dollars! It doesn't get better then that! To end the week, I was able to take Friday off and hang out all day. We headed to the beach and had a great time. This was Kailani's first time at the beach and she loved it! We stuck her feet in the water a couple of times but she wasn't to happy about that.

We're Expecting!

That's right, I am 2 months pregnant! It has been really hard trying to keep this little bun in the oven a secret, but the cat is out of the bag! We are so excited to have a new addition to the Teague family. What an adventure this will be. I do have to say, it has not been much fun thus far. I have been sick every day and I visit the porcelain king (the toilet) quite often. Foods and different smells get to me, all I do is puke and sleep and I feel gross the majority of the day. But what can I say, it will all be worth it in the end! Today we had our very first appointment. Up till this point, Seth and I haven't felt like this is really real until we heard our little baby's heartbeat. It was so amazing! Although it sounded like a washing machine, we knew what it was. I can't believe I have a little Teague in my belly. Hearing the heartbeat and seeing the baby really made it surreal. Here is Baby Teague's first picture!

Go Angels!

A Friday night isn't a complete night without Angels, sunflower seeds and fireworks. We had a way fun time with Austin and Amanda at the Angels vs. Orioles game. I love how the Angels always offer promotions and discounts off their tickets. We got some pretty decent seats for 7 bucks a pop. Couldn't pass that up! Although the Angels lost that night, we still had a fun time cheering on our team and watching the great firework show after the game. Go Angels! Me and Amanda

I love Big Bang Fridays!

Fourth of July was spent at my parents house for lunch. We had bbq ribs and carne asada! It was delish! My dad's birthday is on Tuesday so we decided to celebrate it at the same time. I had my camera ready for lots of pictures but my battery died! Bummer. After lunch we headed over to Seth's parents house where we swam with the kids and watched the fireworks from their front lawn. They have a perfect view of the fireworks that were shot off of Mt. Rubidoux. We had a nice time hanging with family all day and enjoyed all the fireworks!

Our Fun Adventure

The summer is the busiest time of the year for enrollment at my work. Which means no summer vacations! So, before the craziness starts we planned a week long fun filled vacation with our cousins Austin and Amanda. We left right after work last Friday and headed up straight to Logan, Utah. Our sister-in-law Cynthia was baptized that Saturday. It was such a joyous day. We were so happy to be there to support her and her decision to join the church. It truly was a great experience!We spent the weekend with our family in Logan. We had a great time hanging out and having fun. We went up to the canyon and had a bonfire and of course made smores!

We also went to Bear Lake. Although it was rainy and windy, we still had a good time and made the most of it. We waited it out, and soon enough the rain stopped! We barbecued some delish carne asada and horsed around of course!We also went to a little amusement park in Ogden. We had fun climbing the rock wall, go-carting, laser tagging and mini golf. It was tons of fun, especially since it was empty and we had the park pretty much to ourselves!And we got to spend time with our super cute niece Kailani! She has gotten so big since the last time we saw her, which was only 3 months ago! She is so gosh darn cute! She was such a good baby the whole time. We love her so much!This is my absolute fav picture! She has such personality, I love it!

After our time in Logan, we headed down to Park City. Our original plan was to hit up the zip lines there at the resort. Once we got there, the zip lines weren't so cool as we thought. Plus it was raining. We did the Alpine slide thought which was fun. We went to Utah Olympic Park where we got to see the US team train! It was pretty cool to watch them do tricks!

After Park City, we headed down south looking for a place to camp. We drove through Provo Canyon where we found some campsites. Only problem was that it was 11pm and raining. Every site was either full or cost too much for only one night. So we decided to continue down south. It was pretty late and we hadn't had dinner yet so this is where we ended up!Yup, thats right. Good ol' Wal-Mart parking lot! We stopped to bust out the stove and cooked ourselves some dinner! Even had some smores for dessert! hahah. Talk about ghetto right?

We finally got to Beaver canyon where we camped for the night. In the morning we went fishing in the rain. We found a pretty sweet place to fish along a nice stream. We noticed some huge scratch marks on the tree which looked a lot like bear claws. Of course that scared Amanda and me but the boys insisted it was marks by an axe or something. The boys wanted to stay there and camp another night but us girls weren't feeling it. We headed into town and stopped at a gas station where we found out a huge bear was hunted down right in the Beaver canyon that we were at! They say the hunted bear was the smaller of the two that was spotted in that area! Now wasn't that a good idea not to camp there? I sure think so!

We then headed down to Hurricane where Austin's sister lives. She was nice enough to let us stay with her and her family the rest of the week. We had some time to visit Seth's grandpa's ranch and do some shooting. The boys had a blast of course and shot up a lot of stuff. lol.

We hauled up Austin's boat too and was able to go boating at Sand Hallow. We had a blast! We went tubing and fishing. We all got a little too much sun and went home red and burnt! But all so worth it. Our very last adventure for the trip was to hike Angels Landing in Zion National Park. We love going there because its more then a park to Seth's family. Seth's grandpa Bill's family homested that very land before Zion became a national park. So if you know me, you know I'm not much of a hiker. I knew going into this that this hike was gonna kick my butt, and guess what- it did! The above picture is at the begginning of the hike, where I am still happy and smiling. That wasn't the case once we got to the top.

We made it to the top! Angels landing was a really cool hike, but very strenuous! I got really sick from it. I am so out of shape I almost couldn't make it back down the mountain. But at least I made it to the top! After the hike, we went back to the house and I crashed for the rest of the day. All in all, it was a great trip! We had a fun filled week of fun and we are now back home sore and sunburned! Back to reality....

Finally, Some Time to...

Scrap!!! I have been quite busy with school and work that I haven't had a chance to scrap lately. Every time I checked my blog, I got sicker and sicker of my background. Lol. It has been that vintage one for a while now. So, last night I finally got some time (made time) to whip up something new! I wanted to do something orange (for some reason I'm really into orange right now) but wasn't able to find an orange kit that I absolutely loved. But I'm loving the blue and gray too! Hehe. Although, I was able to find some orange tonight and I whipped up this little scrap page after taking my online quiz. I really want to be able to find more time to digiscrap. But oh well, that is life!

I also want to get into something different. I was talking to my friend Stephanie tonight about learning and doing something new. What came to mind? Maybe taking a Cake Decorating Class! How fun would that be!?! Joann's has all sorts of cool classes that they offer. I know some may cost but their Saturday demonstrations are free. Something to look into!!!

One Year Down, an Eternity Left to Go

April 19th was our one year anniversary. And boy did it creep up fast. I can remember it just like it was yesterday. Our anniversary started out with these beautiful flowers sent to my work from my sweet husband. He really surprised me!!

We had our weekend all planned out. We needed to finish our wedding package with our photographer. I didn't have bridals done, so we swapped it out for a little one year anniversary photo shoot. Here are some pictures from the shoot.

After the photo shoot, we picked up our pictures from our photographer, had some lunch and headed off to San Diego for our Harbor Excursion! I was really excited for the dinner cruise! We went to San Diego early so we can hang out and enjoy the day. We wanted to stop by the Mormon Battalion but it was closed for remodeling. So we walked around Old Town for a bit and headed over to the Harbor.

Keeping Busy

I have been off this whole week from school for spring break. It has been so nice not having to rush home from work, eat a quick dinner and head off to class. So during the week, I had time to do some other things beside school work. A friend of ours gave us an old desk that he was going to throw away. It was perfect timing because I have been wanting a desk for a while (doing homework on the floor hasn't been that fun). It wasn't quite the color I wanted so we decided to sand it down and paint it. At first, we wanted to stain it to a darker color to match the rest of our furniture in our place. Turns out, the desk is not completely made out of wood so we couldn't stain it. We then decided to just paint it black. I hate the knobs so those are definitely going. We've been to a couple of different hardware stores and I can't find any knobs that I like, for a decent price that is. I saw some knobs in a catalog Seth brought home but they cost $25 a piece. Safe to say, it ain't gonna happen! So I'm still looking for knobs! For now, we just have the original knobs in. I can live with them for now.

Happy Birthday David! Today is my little brother's 18th birthday. Its so weird to think that he is now a young adult! Crazy how time flies. I can remember when he was just a little tyke! So for his birthday this weekend, we had dinner at TGI Fridays and then went bowling afterwards. We had a great time celebrating David's birthday!

Easter Sunday

This Easter was a bummer for me. I woke up feeling really bad and it lasted just about all day. After lots of meds, I finally got ready and went over to Seth's parents house for Easter dinner. The whole family was there (well at least the ones in Riverside) including Seth's awesome grandparents and his sister Tiffany and her boyfriend. My little brother even joined us since my parents are out of the country. We had a great meal. So great that I ate 2 plates full! I didn't even get any pictures since I was feeling quite under the weather. That was a bummer too. But all in all, it was a great Easter!

Fun Filled Week

What a week! We drove up to Logan, Utah to visit our new little niece Kailani. She is so adorable! I wanted to take her home with me! It was really nice being able to spend time with our family. The weather wasn't the greatest, but we still had a fun time hanging out, playing wizard, bowling and the oh so fun Guitar Hero!

After a week in Logan, Seth and I stayed the weekend in Vegas with our friends the Cooks. We had a fun and relaxing time! Thanks guys for inviting us! I also got to visit my good friend Tracey that lives in Vegas too. It was great seeing her!

While we were in Vegas, we had to go to The Orleans Buffet. The last time Seth and I went, we absolutely loved it! I think it was because we could have all the crawfish we can eat! This time wasn't as great as we remembered it the first time but we did eat a lot of delicious crawfish!

While walking through some shops, Seth noticed a sign that says "Meet Pete Rose Today". Man was he excited! Pete Rose was signing autographs and taking photos. Only catch is you had to buy a baseball or a baseball bat for like 200 bucks! So, this is as close as we got without paying anything and without getting yelled out. lol.

On the way home, we had to stop by the coolest store ever, Bass Pro Shop! We love this place!

Surprise!!!

Friday night, I threw Seth a surprise party. His birthday isn't till the 17th but in order for me to make the surprise work, I had to do it on Friday. For all you who know me, know that I suck at keeping things from Seth. So this was a little tricky to organize without him knowing. It all worked out great though! We had a murder mystery game dinner themed Honky Tonk Homicide. Everyone showed up in their sweet Country Western Get Ups! It was great! we had good food, and tons of laughs! Thanks everyone who helped and got the party going! Who killed Bubba?

What Goes Bump In The Night

On saturday we took our nephews and niece to the March Air Force Base. They were having a special presentation on UFO's and Spy Planes. The boys were especially excited. We got to hear a great presentation all about spy planes and what most people think are UFO's. The kids got to make their own space shuttles and we even got to sit in one of the helicopters. The kid had a wonderful time hanging out and looking at all the cool planes.

Valentines Day

This was our first Valentines as a married couple. It was a pretty fun day. We decided this year to not spend money on any gifts and instead just spend the day together. Seth had the day well planned. We were talking a few days ago about last years Valentines, and we could not remember what we did or even what we got each other. Pretty sad huh, I swear we're not that old. So, he thought it would be cool if we went to Michaels and picked out a scrapbook that we can keep with things we've done for special days such as Valentines, birthdays, anniversary and so on. And what perfect way to start it with our first Valentines being married. Seth had planned for us to visit various sites in Riverside and take pictures to scrap because who knows, we may not be here next year. On our agenda was breakfast, Michaels, March Airforce Base, and take a picture in front of the Riverside sign and the De Anza statue. He also wanted to go by the pound to find a dog that we would want in the future and take a picture with it. We also love to drive around and look at houses. We drove around and took pictures of different houses that we would want to have as our dream house ( I took quite a few and picked out different things from different houses). We had a great time driving around everywhere. But to tell you the truth, I was so dead tired after finishing half of the things on our list. haha. Talk about getting old huh. So we came home, I took a nap and we went to dinner at Oiishi's our fav sushi joint. All in all, it was a great Valentines. I couldn't have asked for a better person to spend it with. (I mean myself, but Seth is pretty cool too. JK)

Rain: Love it or Hate it

It has been pretty wet lately in good ol' Riverside the last couple of days. Looks like the rain is here to stay for the rest of the week too. I'm not sure how I feel about the rain though. I think I like it sometimes but then sometimes I don't. Our dry land definitely needs it though, which is one reason why I'm liking it right now. I also like watching and hearing the rain come down. It's really cool to watch. Especially when you're driving to an area that is like down pour and you can see it coming out of the clouds ahead of you. I like when the clouds separate too, and a bit of sunlight peaks through. That's always a nice sight. But then there's the part of me that hates the rain. For one, people or should I say most Californians, don't know how to drive in stinkin' rain! It drives me nuts to drive in the rain because people on the streets don't know how to drive! Tons of accidents always happen when it rains here. I just don't get it! Two, I hate going anywhere in the rain. Especially if I have to go to more then one destination. The inside of my car gets so stinkin' wet just from getting in it and out of it. I travel a lot for work so maybe I just get frustrated with having to get in my car and out so many times in a day. Plus I have to lug my bag everywhere which makes it even more fun and wet. When it rains, I just want to stay indoors and stay dry. With it being all gloomy and cold, it makes me not want to do anything at all. And when I get like that I get depressed and grumpy (sounds like I have problems). Anyway, its good to have rain though, as much as I may not always like it. I'm just glad I don't live somewhere like Seattle where it rains much more then here.

p.s. I love all the snow the rain brings! The mountains are so beautiful today!!!!

When Will It End?

Last week, Seth came home from school with a funky cough. He hardly ever gets sick so I, of course, (the good wife that I am) kind of makes fun of his little "cough". Well, it got worse and guess who gets sick too? Yup, I do and still fighting it. We figured I was 10 hours behind Seth because everything he got, I got about 10 hours later. The crazy thing, his body is handling it much better than I am (maybe not that crazy). I've pretty much been in bed for 3 days straight. But refuse to go to the doctor. haha. I know its nothing that serious, just a severe cold and a really bad sore throat. Today I think I am on the upswing of this stupid thing. It still hurts when I cough but I'm not as drain as I have been the last couple of days. I guess I just need to get up and start moving so I can start feeling better right? Last night was the first time I actually stepped out of our place in like 3 days. We went over to Seth's parents house to watch the Super Bowl and do some laundry. I was sick and laying around the whole time but that's okay, their home is like my second home away from home. Seth's dad always go all out with the snacks and the goodies. Since I wasn't feeling too good, I didn't get to enjoy that guacamole I have been craving for so long. Anyway, it was a good game though, I would have to say. I was rooting for the Cardinals, but knew the Steelers were gonna win. Nothing against the Steelers or anything, I just think it would have been pretty sweet for the Cardinals to win. Anyway, I think I'm just rambling on. I need to post something soon. Maybe when I get better, we'll have something great to do! lol. We'll see.....

Fun Weekend

This weekend we hung out with our cousins Austin and Amanda. We had dinner at the new Chili's here in Riverside. Chili's is doing this thing where you can win a rare chance to be in a picture with the Lakers, win a jersey and tickets to a game. All you have to do is take a picture with a Chili's team member! My good friend Twyla's sister Christine works there so we took pictures with her and submitted our photos in hopes of winning! How cool would it be to be in a picture with the Lakers!?!?! After dinner, we headed back to our place for a little karaoke! (My fav!) We did a little of Queen and some Carrie Underwood. And by we, I mean me and Amanda. lol. We'll have to do something soon again guys! Saturday night was very random. Our buddies the Cooks came over and we ordered some Papa Johns. We were feeling like ice cream so went to DQ. The night was young so we went to Shamel Park to play on the play structures. Shamel use to have this sweet merry-go-round but they must have gotten rid of it cause it wasn't there anymore. It was pretty fun playing around on the swings and stuff, it brought back so many memories. But we got tired of that real quick. We decided to take a night hike up Mt.Rubidoux. It was quite nice. The city looked really cool at night with all the lights.

When we were coming down the trail, we noticed 2 people coming down the same trail behind us. It was dark so we couldn't tell if it was just hikers or just hooligans messing around. As we were headed down, the 2 shadows were gaining speed on us! It was a little creepy, I have to admit so we all tried to walk faster. As they got closer it was only a guy. We were wondering what happened to to other person. A little weird. As we got down to the beginning of the trail we looked back and the guy was gone!!! We stayed in the car to see if he was walking down the trail, but there was no man in sight. Emilee and I were a little freaked out but of course the guys didn't make anything of it. What if something bad were to happen?!?! Dun-Dun-Dun!!! Anyway, after the hike I was craving a Coke Slurpee! What a heffer right, had pizza, ice cream and now a slurpee. So we stopped by 7-11 and got me a coke slurpee! I was a happy gal!

Wild Animal Park

About 4 years ago, Seth and I had season passes to the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park. We got them for a really good deal, and of course only visited the zoo once. lol. Just about 2 months ago, we got a letter from the San Diego Zoological Society with "Important Information Enclosed" stamped on the envelope. Usually we just rip stuff like that up assuming its their newsletter that they always send out but we went ahead and opened it anyway. Turns out, since we were such great members before, they gave us a season pass for the rest of the year! Can't pass up free right? So we took advantage of this wonderful gift and took a trip to the Wild Animal Park. Our buddies Dan and Em joined us for the fun. We saw some pretty cool stuff! The birds are always fun to see and my favorite is probably the gorillas. The Gorillas stunk so bad! It smelled like 100 years worth of B.O. buildup! But still super cool.How cute is this!? The lion was asleep on the car.

Christmas!

On Christmas Eve, Seth and I got up and made breakfast together! We aren't breakfast eaters so we hardly ever make breakfast. It was a fun way to start off Christmas! Later that night we went with some friends to look at lights. It was kinda skimpy this year but we did see some pretty cool ones. I wasn't able to get pictures though, sorry!
We usually open presents Christmas morning, but we didn't really have anything to do Christmas Eve night since both of our families had something on Christmas day, so we opened our presents! hehe. It was fun even though we guessed what we got each other right!

Christmas morning we went to the Teagues and had a great big breakfast! We opened all the presents and tried out their new awesome karaoke player. Here is a clip of the kids singing Christmas carols. They are all nuts!

We also watched the Lakers vs. Celtics game together. It was such a sweet game! We were so freaking happy that the Lakers beat the Celtics!!! We broke their winning streak! Whoo Hoo!! What an awesome Christmas!
We then headed out to the Vilaylacks in the evening. My family decided to have Laos food for dinner. And of course, sticky rice. We had a great time opening presents and enjoying Christmas! Its kinda crazy to think its already over. Christmas came and went in a blink of an eye. Its hard to believe its going to be 2009!

Fa La La La La

Oh it's such a wonderful time of year! I've always thought to myself how it is so perfect to have Christmas (the best holiday ever) at the end of the year. What better way to wrap up the year with friends, family, presents, lights, cheers, Santa (yes I said Santa) and all the other stuff that goes along with this time. I think I'm a much happier person around Christmas. Maybe that's because the Fall semester ends and I get 2 weeks off from work, but whatever it is I love it! Seth and I got our Christmas tree pretty early this year. Which means its dying already. lol. Didn't I say get a fake one? Anyway, dead or alive, it's still a tree and we're hoping it doesn't completely kill over by Christmas.
Seth and I made our first ornament together! We actually have other "1st Christmas" ornaments while we were dating, but this is totally different now that we're married! Wouldn't you say?We don't have a fireplace in our tiny apartment so I turned this little area into a "mantel". lol. I couldn't think of where to hang our stockings so it works just fine there. To my surprise, Seth makes great pumpkin pies! He made everything from scratch, except the crust. He did pretty darn good! I was impressed! I've never made pumpkin pie from a real pumpkin before so last night Seth taught me how. And of course we had to roast the pumpkin seeds. They were gone by the next day! I didn't realize how much one pumpkin will make! We have a lot of pumpkin filling left so we're going to have a lot of pumpkin pie! Gotta love the holidays!

Early Christmas Present

About a month or two ago, I bought Seth tickets to the Chargers vs. Raiders game for Christmas. I tried to keep it a secret but apparently I can't keep a secret. lol. I gave in and had to tell him about it like a month ago. Seth has finals all this week and next week so I had to make sure the game wasn't going to conflict with his schooling. And luckily it didn't! The game was last night and it was so fun! Man, those Raider fans are something else. It was pretty rowdy. I was only able to get seats on the visitors side so I was a little worried about insane Raider fans, but it wasn't too bad. There were plenty of Charger fans on our side too. Before the game even started, we saw 4 guys get arrested in the parking lot. It was insane! But the game was so fun and of course the Chargers won!

Turkey, Ham, and Lamb??

This was our first "married couple" Thanksgiving. Which really wasn't any different to any of our past Thanksgivings. We usually go to both parents homes and stuff our fat faces. We went to Seth's parents house first and had our traditional Thanksgiving meal. It was delicious! That was at around 3pm and we had to let everything sit in our stomachs for another dinner at 7. We then head off to my mom's house and had Thanksgiving there. My family hasn't done the traditional Thanksgiving for a while, so it was very casual and everyone just grabbed a plate and ate! They did have turkey, ham and all the traditional stuff though. And it was Honey Baked Ham which is so dang good!! But then my dad decides he wants lamb and deer so he cooks that too. A weird combination but whatever works right? lol. I think the only ones who ate the lamb and deer was my parents and Seth. lol. A few years back we decided to not have a traditional Thanksgiving and have a seafood Thanksgiving feast! If you know me, you know I love seafood! It was probably the most memorable Thanksgiving at my parents house. Who has seafood on Thanksgiving? The Vilaylacks, that's who! I wished I got more pictures but I didn't. (Too busy stuffing my face) hehe....

Busted! Here is my doggie Kingston in his new hoodie! Isn't he adorable! Although I did not get Thanksgiving pictures at my parents house, I did get some of Kingston! lol.

And of course, we did some shopping on BlackFriday. There really wasn't much to offer this year I don't think. We still had fun and got some cool things. I got a new phone finally! I've had my old school phone forever, so I decided to get myself a little treat! Its the new Rant from Sprint and I got it for a sweet upgrade deal, plus its purple!

We also got some DVDs for way cheap. We got Juno, I am Legend, all fairly new movies for $3.98! We were able to get some Christmas gifts out of the way too which was really nice.

And we got a new TV stand for our new TV. I had to have one that fits my karaoke machine! It took us a while to find one that I like and one that would fit, and of all days we found it on BlackFriday! We also finally got cable. Seth is amazingly happy. He watched ESPN till way late last night. Lol. We didn't realize how much we missed cable. Or at least I didn't realize it cause Seth always complained about not having cable. haha. Well we have it now and we love it!

Now that Thanksgiving is gone, its time to bust out the Christmas decorations!! I can't wait! I have to go get some ornaments today and of course a tree. I personally wanted a fake tree that is pre-lit, no mess and it would get many uses out of it for the price. But Seth insists we have a real tree so that we don't have to store it. After looking at some fake ones that were on sale yesterday and having no luck, I finally gave up and gave in to a real tree (what a sucker, I know). So off to tree shopping today! Can't wait to get Christmas going. Its the best time of the year!

Weekend in Carlsbad

Seth's parents invited us to join them this weekend at their condo in Carlsbad. It was really nice to get away for a weekend. We have family in Oceanside, so they came down to join us Saturday for a BBQ. There is a pool and a water park in the resort so we didn't even go to the beach. We had a great time relaxing, swimming, laying out and enjoying family time. Too bad we weren't able to stay longer. I think when you're having a good time, it ends much quicker!

As we were setting up for Seth's brothers wedding reception this weekend, we took a little break and started messing around in the cultural hall. Seth has always been good at sports, and played soccer basically his whole life. He was kicking around a ball and was trying to make a goal between the two post of the basketball hoop. Check out how well he did! I was surprised he actually made it! He must be a NFL kicker... hehe.

It was quite crazy putting everything together the week after the first reception in Logan, but it was way fun, and the cute couple got to show themselves off again. Another Logan Trip

Here we go, another trip to Logan, Utah. When we were driving up, it felt like we made that trip less then a month ago. Probably because we did make that trip less then a month ago! Its a long drive to Logan, but its totally worth it. This time, we went up for a special occasion. Casey (Seth's brother) got married! Casey and Nicole got married in the Logan Temple last Saturday. What a beautiful wedding! We had tons of fun spending time with family, going to the snow, playing games and simply being silly together. We think the Logansters should come to Cali next! We made the last two visits, so its time for them to visit us! (You know you want to!!!!)

Both families went to the Coppermill Restaurant for dinner the Wednesday before the wedding.

The kids wanted to go to the snow. So we drove up Logan Canyon towards Bear Lake. There was snow, but not enough to sled. So we just played around and threw snow balls at each other.As you can see, we're a silly family. We all love to take stupid pictures for some reason. haha.

Our Church had a trunk or treat for the kids and we decided to join in on the fun! Emilee and I combined our trunks and decorated it with a spider theme. We threw it together pretty quick, and to our surprise, it turned out not too bad. We had a lot of fun giving out candy and seeing all the cute and creative costumes some of the kids came up with! This is my little buddy Seven in his awesome costume!

So where were our husbands? Well, they were busy scaring everyone in the "Spook Alley". The Young Mens program in our church were in charge of setting up a little maze. To our surprise (Emilee and I) the guys did a pretty good job. We were impressed! Good job guys!

Getting Ready for Halloween

Halloween is almost here! To get into the spirit, we got together with our friends Dan and Em to hit up some Halloween shops and carve pumpkins! I love carving pumpkins! My favorite part is digging out all those delicious pumpkin seeds. Seth and I carved this witch stirring a pot and Dan and Em carved a pirate with a bandanna. As we roasted the pumpkin seeds, we watched 'P.S. I Love You'. The girls liked the movie, Seth and Dan- not so much. lol. What do we expect right?

Mangler's Haunted Asylum

A bunch of us went to this Mangler's Haunted Asylum in Pomona last night. It had two mazes- the Haunted House, and the Haunted Asylum. Out of the two, I think the Asylum was more intense. We couldn't find our way out at one point, and got locked in a room with an insane half dead chick who wanted to play a game with us. We also had to crawl through this crawl space that had us on our hands and knees. There were creepy looking monsters roaming around and the clown with the chainsaw was probably the creepiest. And it doesn't help when your husband pretends to be scared and makes you run so that they chase you. All in all, it was pretty fun. It was pretty descent for a local attraction.

So this past weekend was a way chill weekend. I had Friday off so I had a 3 day weekend. Friday we decided to go shopping. Well, I guess window shopping cause we weren't planning on buying anything. Well really, we just didn't have anything to do and I have been wanting to check out this store called A.J. Wright. I heard there are quite some deals there. So come to find out A.J. Wright is kind of like a crappier version of Ross. But it wasn't all bad, there were some good deals on kids clothes. Anyway, so that was kind of a let down so we decided to check out Burlington Coat Factory. I happen to really like Burlington and their home decor department. That's where we found these amazing helmets! These helmets were displays for home decor! Could you imagine one of these on your coffee table or mantle?! Lol. So Seth and I decided to unscrew them from the stand that they were on and try them on ourselves! I bet Burlington loved us that day. We had a great time laughing at how ridiculous we looked and taking pictures of ourselves. I think Seth looks best with the Trojan one, what do you think?

Hurray for Holidays

I absolutely love, love, love this time of year! Its when the heat cools down and we start to get that "Halloween" weather. Well its not much of a cool down, but for us Californians, it sure is! I think the reason why I love this time of the year so much is because once Halloween hits, every month after that has a holiday for 4 months! Call me a kid, but I live for Holidays. It's so fun with cute decorations, spending time with friends and family and lets not forget time off from work! I love to see everyone get into the spirit. A lot of people really get into it with creative decor. I think one of my favorite things about Halloween is carving pumpkins, and then roasting the pumpkin seeds after! MMmmmm... definitely my fav. And of course an excuse for eating all that candy and chocolate. lol.

Our Trip to Utah

We just got back from a 6 day trip to Utah. It was a short trip, but we got quite a bit in. Our trip consisted of picking pistachios, being part of a wedding, shooting, visiting family and having a good time. We went as far as Logan and all stops in between.

Our first stop was Hurricane. We left Riverside Wednesday morning and got into Hurricane in the afternoon. We were hoping to bring home sacks full of pistachios but unfortunately, the pistachios had not split yet and were not quite ready. Next Stop, Woodland Hills

After picking pistachios, we went straight up to Woodland Hills. We've been driving all day, so we were pretty trashed. We arrived in the evening so we just settled in and relaxed. Friday was the wedding, so we had Thursday to chill. We went shooting, and that was pretty fun. It was Cindy's first attempt at shooting a gun. Her favorite was the Pistol-grip shotgun. Seth and Brent shooting up "cardboard cut-out Brent"

The wedding was at the Manti Temple. It was really pretty. We weren't able to get any good pictures with the new couple at the temple, but we did get one at the reception.

Dre, Brent and Seth all served together in Switzerland. They're definitely the 3 amigos. They've all kept in contact and are all still really good friends.

Last Stop, Logan

After the reception Friday night, we drove up to Logan where Seth's brothers live. We got in quite late so we figured we would go straight to bed. But that didn't happen. We were up playing Wizard (a German game) for hours! lol. We were tired but we couldn't resist a game of Wizard. It was so nice to spend time with our family. We wish we could have stayed longer.

We drove up Logan Canyon and stopped for some pictures at Ricks Springs. It was really pretty. We also drove up looking for a haunted Nunnery. It was located deep into the forest in the mountain. The boys went up and the girls stood watch at the end of the hill.
We must all be related. Just silly.

One last stop back to Cali

On the way back to Cali, we decided to stop by Vegas to see Cindy's grandpa. We drove into town hoping to catch Grandpa at home. Turned out, he wasn't at home. It was almost a waste of time, until we decided to check out the Las Vegas Temple. Cindy's grandpa conveniently lives across the street from the temple. We walked the grounds and took some pictures. It was gorgeous.

I miss my dog

This is my dog Kingston. He's a small Maltese with an attitude. Talk about yappy dogs, Kingston is the yappiest. But he is so lovable and cute! Since I now live in an apartment, I couldn't take Kingston with me. So, he lives with my mom at her place. Another reason why we didn't take him is because he wouldn't get the attention he deserves. I work full time and we both have school, so Kingston would be home all by himself. Its better this way for Kingston if he stays at home with my mom. I sure do miss him though. It's a good thing I live so close to my parents; I can visit Kingston anytime.

I can't believe its September. Summer is just about over! But I guess that really doesn't change much here in Cali, since its pretty warm most of the time anyhow. We got to hit the beach a couple of times though, and that was good. We definitely got our tan on! Or at least I did. Here are some photos from our summer at the beaches.

Jamaica

Here are some pictures from our Honeymoon in Jamaica. It was amazing! The only thing that happened was that we brought our camera but left the battery on the charger back home. Total bummer. So we had to buy disposable cameras which still did the job but limited us to so many photos. We still had a blast and wish we can go back!

Here is a picture of the Resort we stayed at, Starfish Trelawny, from the 7th floor.

Here we are riding "Big Mable". We were being dragged by a speedboat going pretty darn fast. Just look at our faces!

We also went Kayaking a couple of times. It was really cool because the water there is so clear, we were able to see the bottom of the ocean.

Seth and I decided to give in to "blogging". It's a good way to keep our friends and family posted right? At first we really didn't know what we would blog about, but we always have a lot to do and a lot to say so I think we can manage! Or at least we'll try. =)
